I was reading Six of Crows and I thought that I adore this one very much… Then I finished reading Crooked Kingdom. When Six of Crows is filled with actions, Crooked Kingdom is entirely crooked with actions, emotions, love, betrayal and everything about the crooked dark world of Ketterdam. Even though the imaginary world is endangered, it is easy to wander there than in the real world.

Every human has their darkness which weigh down on his chest and shoulders. This duology taught me that even in your death, you should never stop doing something, sometimes it may save you rather than allowing death to carry you away. The six spotlight characters of the novels are Kaz Brekker, Inej Ghafa, Nina Zenik, Jesper Fahey, Wylan and Matthias Helvar. The actions and the life of these characters are way beyond their age which you will be awestruck to know about.

Each character has something for us to learn from them. And each character has got the chance to narrate the story from their Point of View. It is so vivid that we are always ready to retaliate from being hunted down by unbelievable number of masked friendly faces outside our house doormat. Because you don’t know the real antagonist of your life until the very end.

The settings of the novels entirely in Ketterdam (partially in Fjerda in Six of Crows). There is nothing flawed to point out from these novels. This is the reason that I didn’t want to separate the track. The language of both the novels are having the inquisitive hold on its readers. In comparison to SoC, there was a lot happening in Crooked Kingdom which makes the readers to have the indepth comprehension of each character. Just keep your eyes open for not letting yourself into the treacherous pit that your opponent barrel thugs have dug up for you.

I just wanted to pour out my thoughts in chatty way and not in my way of reviewing (hopefully, for these novels only). I am lucky to get the special collector’s edition copies of this duology (Thank you @afictionreadingboy for gifting CK.).

PS: Crooked Kingdom is my favorite read!!
