The story is about contemporary Indian society and the people revolve around corruption in their day-to-day life. Neha, Akash and Kamal are the central characters who are dreaming about getting into administrative services and the story focuses on their life.
The story sets in which Neha is a middle-class girl from Noorgarh whereas Akash is a rich boy from Delhi. Kamal is Neha’s best friend from her village. Three of them are taking up their classes from a reputed UPSC coaching centre in New Delhi. Other than Akash, Neha and Kamal could not clear their exams. There the story travels with lots of events like how the characters take up challenges in their life because of corruption and what will be waiting for them is all about the story.
The subject matter that is taken is quite an impactful one. The characters are somewhere stagnant without any other developments. The writing style could have been strengthened for such interesting subject matter. The language is very simple yet might be an effective one if most of the conversations had argued fiercely. Overall, a quick read with lot of patience.
Happy Reading!
