Hello Bookarazziss!
Happy 74th Celebration of Independence Day ๐ฎ๐ณ
Hope you all are doing well
I wish to spend the 75th Celebration of Independence day by taking part in the celebration at Wagah-Attari Border. The most fascinating place to visit, especially on this special occasion. Let’s hope my wish come true and this scenario will change soon.
Here I have come up with the some wonderful reads based on early India.
๐ฎ๐ณ Midnight’s Children – Salman Rushdie
๐ฎ๐ณ Bharat The Man Who Built a Nation – Dr. Vineet Aggarwal
๐ฎ๐ณ The Hungry Tide – Amitav Ghosh
๐ฎ๐ณ Ponniyin Selvan – Kalki
๐ฎ๐ณ Mahabharata – William Buck
๐ฎ๐ณ The Kamba Ramayanam
๐ฎ๐ณ Ice-Candy Man – Bapsi Sidhwa
๐ฎ๐ณ Mari – Easterine Kire
๐ฎ๐ณ Bharathipura – U R Ananthamurthy
Not any particular order!
Have you read any from the list? What is your first read based on India?
(Tell me in the comments)
I have read Mari, Ice-Candy Man and Bharat.
Midnight Children, Hungry Tide and Bharathipura are the one of my half read books (will complete it soon, hopefully). Ponniyin Selvan, Kamba Ramayanam, and Mahabharata are in TBR pile
Happy Reading!
