My October Spooky Read – Classic novels

Blogpost by Dhanu

Greetings!

Peeping here in the midst of euphoria

Question of the day: what are you planning to read for fall? (Here it’s raining )

Let’s talk about this spooky season. October is my comfort month with all about festivals, celebrations, presents, sweets, happiness and the list will be never-ending with loads of surprises. To add gothic vibes, I chose to start reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley from the middle of the October which I got back in 2018. This book is the first exceptional book gift from a special friend. That were the time I started slowly to grow my book collection.

There comes another present from another friend who intends to make me go obsessed with this Penguin Classics. My friends are always graceful enough for sending Penguin Classics. For this time, I got Rokeya Sahawat Hossain’s Sultana’s Dream and Padmarag & Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina, and the ritual was begun to send book gifts. Feeling like writing a super mysterious musings with the persons!! Hoooo…

So, here, I am engrossed with my current read with all spooky vibes around. Like, dark clouds, gothic atmosphere, scary winds, stormy nights and what not. I am not the scaredy cat (may be just a little bit). I am just trying to spread the eerie vibes of this month…. This picture is all about happiness right from quotes of my favourite books The Kite Runner and The Great Gatsby, scribbled in my journal, to the presents, to the favourite humans. And here I am ending my babblings, we will meet in next post! See you soon…

Happy Reading!
