“Choosing your partner wisely” Does this phrase seem familiar? Whoever it may be, either a friend or a lifepartner, choose wisely. They will play a major part in your life, which will lead you towards the path of happiness, or it could be a dead end. But do we really have the option to choose them? Well, it’s complicated to answer. (Your thoughts are welcome!)
The story revolves around such a choice by Anuradha, which leads her to lots of twists and turns in her life. This novel is the sequel to ‘You Never Know’. However, you can read it as standalone too. (But to get the real essence of exact background events, read the prequel.).
The plot is set in Mumbai, where Anuradha starts her new beginning after messing up her relationship with Dhruv, in Lucknow. But who can escape from one’s karma? (You will pay well for what you have done.). She started to face what she had left behind in Lal Tibba. Sid!
The characters of this story had played well with their roles. There were no lagging or dragging inbetween. The latter half of the title suits well to the characters, no one is saint here as well. Except Ash. Of all, I liked Ash. He is so sweet from his heart and always there for his loved ones; moreover he believed them to the core. But the present world donot like such characters, right! They will label them as a kid or an unfit in the midst of those heels. On the whole, the characters stood on their ground where I expected more from them.
The language is lucid and easy to read with the flow of the plot. The writing style is also balanced well. However I felt odd sometimes with the descriptions of sexual intimacy between the characters for thriller novel. The story has multiple Point of View which moves the story forward with well-built event without any fuss. The cover design depicts the images of the story which is the reason to get me into this reading.
On the whole, this novel will be a treat for thriller lovers as well as the one who wants to explore this genre.
Happy reading!
