Quartet me & my presents!

Blogpost by Dhanu

Hello Peeps!!

Late birthday post, specially for you …
(not in birthday vibes, just feeling overwhelmed)

Do you still get as excited about your birthday as you did when you were a kid?

ME: Not at all!! It made me feel good when my folks around me got so excited…

Guess who had entered into her late 20s (getting old, huh!! ). I just wanted to express my gratitude here *feeling guilty and happy with tears!* First of all, thank you all and extend my love to each and everyone of you for those loads of wishes, especially to my buddies who showered me with gifts (of course, books). I had never received so many gifts in my life. My parents were stunned as well. My bookshelf is now overflowing and crying for space. I owe to your love and efforts.

When I was planning about this post, my anxiety grabbed me tightly and continues to prick (still it does!). At first, it made me feel showy. But I could not contained myself. I was quite embarassed to take the pictures on our terrace and I kept looking for the nosy neighbours’ surveillance!!

Backstory:

I had been successfully spending my book buying ban for two months and there my birthday rolled around. My friends spoilt me and flooded with their love. I was enticed, bought and now I am broke (because I got myself some books that I had restricted this year). But I had only purchased two!! Because I had spent much on books this year than ever before.

I cherish each of yours wishes and efforts to make me feel special. These are my bestest prized possessions. Oh, The Lucky me!! I am overjoyed to be here and this bookstagram has given some incredible humans…
